BHARAT SCOUTS & GUIDES REPORT 2017-18

 

   In this Vidyalaya 188 scouts and 61 clubs and in guide's section 130 and 61 bulbuls are registered their names during the year of 2017-18.

        This vidyalaya has 2 HWB(S), 3 Advance Scout Masters, Basic Scout Master, 2 Guide Captains, 4 Flock Leaders and one cub master. They are all giving traimimg to the scouts and guides, cubs and bulbuls to enable them to participate in various testing camps conducted by KVS Bharat Scouts and Guides Division.

    This year our vidyalaya participated for Tritya sopan testing camp in the month of june 27th to 29th 2017 at KV ASHOK NAGAR participated 20 scouts and 16 guides. They are qualified for further steps to Rajyapuraskar testing camp. There are 4 scouts and 4 guides are participated in Rajyapuraskar testing camp in this year at KV Kannur and Trichur, Kerala  from 17th  of july to 22nd , 2017 after attending at KV Combatore review session for two days of 15th and 16th of the same month.

  The vidyalaya will be sending to Rashtrapathi testing camp, 5 scouts and 5 guides in Chennai division this year, seven scouts and three  guides qualified from our vidyalaya in Chennai divisionfor 2016-17,  which is again highest number if take Vidyala wise . While there were four scouts and six guides were selected for Rashtrapathi award during 2015-16. The KVS announced recently the results of Rashtrapathi award for scouts ang guides . It is the third consequent year  the KV Ashok Nagar history from the last so many years after under the leadership of DR.M.AMARNATH REDDY, scouters and his team members.

      The vidyalaya conducted Dwitiya Sopan testing camp participated 50 scouts and guides all of them qualified for Tritiya Sopan testing camp is going to organise district level next year during april/july month.

  The scouts and guides of this vidyalaya went to hiking on foot for 10 km and hte unit also distributed clothes and fruits to the orphans. On the eve of the republic day a set of scouts and guides visited the Laawrance Trust and had meeting the orphans given donations. And also visited Faith Christ Orphanage home where from one month new born baby to 20 years age people are being given shelter and food. The unit also collected, clothes, books, eatables, and money and donated to the Physically Challenged people in a Trust at Annagar, Chennai on the occcasion of Lord Baden Powell birth day on 22-02-2017. The unit is participated in the social work like polio immunization, cleaning the hospital area, Temple service and vidyalaya campus under the programme of swacch bharat. plantation work done in the school permises and CPWD Qrts area. This year ten scouts and giudes participated six days programme of polio campaign through Chennai Corporation. The children along with teacher were awarded with appreciation certificate and a token of gift.

Campaign is being organized during some important days like Aids day (Anti tobacco day, TB day 23 March 2016), World population day, World Literacy day, Road Safety Awareness Programme, importance of cash less transaction etc to get awarness of the people in the neighbouring streets.

Conducted a big programme on the birth day of father of nation and founder of scouts movement Lord Baden Powell. A slogan  and painting competition was conducted. Again a set of children, scout masters along with honourable Principal visited a orphans homeage near by the Vidyalaya and given donation collected. A vigilance week has been observed. in the Flag day the tokens are distributed and collected money besides other scout activities.

During summer vacation of this year, some scouts and guides along with Dr.M.A.Reddy SM TTD, extended their service to Temple in the city. Two  community projects are planned this year by the unit through Prime minister shielf competition. They are giving awareness about road safety and its importance. The second one is awareness about preservation of greenery (plantations). There is a big garden developed in front of CPWD Training centre at K.K.Nagar, Chennai. About 500 saplings are planted and developed by the team under the supervision of Dr.M.A.Reddy in the streets of CPWD Quarters. He conducted and participated as one among the officials in different programmes organised by KVS. Hence he had been honoured with one of the best scout master in the district level in the Chennai Division, KVS state recently 2015. They are alert to give guard of honour to the Chief Guests in all the functions conducted by the Vidyalaya.
